I was told to keep the chickens away from the garden. The birds will eat all your veggies, they said. Fence it off -- it's the only way to keep the garden safe.
Well, the chickens never showed any interest in the vegetables, so I thought we had nothing to worry about.
Turns out, the dog has developed a taste for the sugar snap peas. My beautiful climbing vines, producing a handful of delicious morsels every day, completely trampled and picked clean.
The dog. Seriously?!?
